Got a well loved Aaton handgrip? We offer service to repair and refurbish classic Aaton wood handgrips. Leave them stock or upgrade the trigger and hardware to modern standards, We can perform most repairs, replace existing hardware, refinish the wood, and rebuild the internal trigger for use with our extensive line of KinoGrip trigger cables.

We now offer service for Vocas and ErgoCine wood handgrips. Please inquire if interested.

Option 1: Includes installation of new trigger button and replacement of factory cable port with new Lemo port or retrofit 3.5mm port. Trigger cables sold separately.

Option 2: Includes stripping, sanding, and refinishing wood on handgrip.  Grip retains original factory hardware and trigger assembly.  While we endeavor to give the grip a like new finish deep scratches or stains may not be removable.

Option 3: Retrofit Aaton factory hardware with new Arri compatible hardware (rosette and thumbscrew).

Option 4: All of the above.  Includes stripping, sanding, and refinishing of wood; modification of grip for installation of new Arri compatible hardware; installation of new trigger button and replacement of factory cable port with new Lemo port or retrofit 3.5mm port. Trigger cables sold separately.

We can also repair and refurbish factory hardware and trigger assembly (assuming we have available parts) and we now provide trigger cables on a special order basis.  Please contact us for more info.

All services require an estimate.  No charge or obligation for an estimate but return shipping is responsibility of customer.  Assumes grip in fair to good working and cosmetic condition with original factory finish.  Additional repairs or modifications may cost extra.

HOW IT WORKS:
1. Add free quote to shopping cart (contact us if you have any questions) and pay the return shipping charges.  Please note on the order which of the above options you prefer (we can always change it later if needed) or add a brief note outlining the work you are requesting.

2. Ship your handgrip to us (we will provide our shipping address after receiving your order).  Do not include extra parts such as mounting hardware or cables unless those items are specifically included in the repair or requested by us.  KinoGrip not responsible for any extra non-repair parts.

3. Once grip is received we will email a cost estimate of required work and upon your approval, send you a separate Paypal invoice for the charges.  If you want to add any cables or hardware to your order you can do so at this time.  Estimate is a no obligation quote and if you decline the work we will ship your grip back to you.

DISCLAIMER:  Most Aaton wood handgrips are 30+ years old and have unknown history.  Given each grip is unique and therefore unpredictable, customer assumes all risk for any work undertaken.  All removed or replaced factory parts become property of KinoGrip unless otherwise requested by customer.
Covid-19 Shipping Information:
We hope all of our customers are staying safe and healthy during this trying time.  We are still making and selling handgrips though please keep in mind things are taking longer than normal due to the pandemic.  Normally domestic orders are shipped with signature required but we are waiving this requirement by default on orders under $150 for the safety of our customers and postal workers.  For orders over $150 you can request we waive the signature requirement or submit an electronic signature at USPS.com.  If you want the signature waived please contact us or simply make a note on your order.  Also please bear in mind that shipping has slowed considerably due to Covid restrictions and fewer commercial flights.  Domestic orders and international orders are equally affected.  In most instances add approximately 1-2 weeks for US domestic orders and 2-3 weeks for international orders.  If you have questions please contact us.  Thanks.

For our international customers we now offer two shipping options, Express Mail and Priority Mail.  Express Mail (EMS) offers tracking, insurance, and quick 3-5 business day
delivery (see above Covid-19 notice) to most parts of the World.  Priority Mail is a less expensive option that offers tracking (depending on country), insurance, and 7-10 business day delivery (see above Covid-19 notice) to most major overseas locations.  If you find the Express Mail or Priority Mail services too expensive, please contact us.  We are happy to provide you with a quote for AirMail.  This might be a good option for smaller less expensive items like cables and hardware.  Please keep in mind that AirMail can take 2-3 weeks to arrive (see above Covid-19 notice) and generally does not provide tracking or insurance.  We can also ship FedEx for international items needing quick overnight or 2 day service or for items going to less reliable service areas.
